Do I need my own federal authority?

No, Muvon has DOT and MC numbers that you drive under.

Does Muvon provide drivers with equipment?

No, Muvon does not own its own trucks. However, Muvon also partners with major truck leasing companies to provide lease-to-own options for equipment.

Does Muvon have a plates program?

Yes, Muvon can help you get plates if you do not already have your own.

How do I get loads?

At Muvon, we take the utmost care to ensure that all our loads are thoroughly confirmed before booking with the driver. Our top priority is to provide a seamless experience for both our clients and drivers, which is why we make sure that every detail is verified before the journey begins. Additionally, we empower our drivers by giving them full control over the routes they choose to take. We believe in fostering a collaborative environment where drivers can leverage their expertise to make informed decisions that benefit all parties involved. By prioritizing this level of communication and autonomy, we uphold our commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Does Muvon force dispatch?

We will never force dispatch you — you choose the loads that are best for you. Also, ask our team about the Muvon Schedule Optimizer, which helps you create a high paying schedule of loads ahead of time.

What kinds of loads are offered by Muvon?

Muvon currently supports general freight — Dry Van, Flatbed, and Power Only (drop and hook) loads.

Can I haul loads that I find on my own?

Yes, drivers can haul freight for brokerages that are not currently integrated with the Muvon system. Please note that Muvon needs to approve the broker and still collects the fee on those loads.

What are the costs of driving with Muvon?

Muvon lease on fee is 12% of each load (compared to 30-35% at most mega-carriers).

How much does Muvon’s insurance cost the driver?

To be on Muvon's auto liability and cargo insurance, each driver pays the greater of $300 per week (varies on the driver’s record and truck)

Do drivers need any other insurance?

Drivers who own or lease their own equipment need to provide physical damage and occupational accident coverage in addition to the auto liability and cargo coverage provided by Muvon. Our trusted insurance partners can help you get the coverage you need at a great price.

What else are drivers responsible for?

Drivers are responsible for tolls, IFTA (we will calculate this for you), scales and permits.

How do I get paid?

Every Friday you get paid for the work you have done the week before. Direct deposit on 1099 or W2.

Does Muvon handle collection of accessorial charges?

The Muvon Customer Success Team works with the brokers and shippers to ensure that drivers are paid back in full for TONUs, detention, and layover charges.
